About Chula Vista Aztecs
Chula Vista Youth Football / Chula Vista Pop Warner.
Way back in 1959, a Chula Vista tradition started. A group of dedicated people came together to begin a dynasty. We would like to honor our founders and Thank them for beginning what has become Chula Vista Youth Football and Cheer.

Since the beginning, what ever name Chula Vista Youth Football went by, be it the Trojans, Spartans, Vikings, Devils, Aztecs and a few others, it all came together to become the Chula Vista Aztecs, a name that has given pride to our community. A name that comes to mind whenever kids think of youth football. The Aztecs have shown their league pride with not only being a major contender around our Conference, as well as multiple Football and Cheer Championships brought home to Chula Vista, our Players and cheerleaders show exceptional grade point averages which is a must for CVYF. Our players and cheerleaders work hard and their dedication to their team/squad shows each year. Many of our coaches once played or cheered with Chula Vista Youth Football and now are teaching their own kids what they were taught many years ago.Since the days of homemade jumpsuit cheer uniforms and jerseys that showed being an Aztec was for the pride of the community. CVYF continues to strive to make the Aztecs "the league to belong". Our volunteers spend countless hours guiding our youth through today's obstacles, they are the building blocks of our players and cheerleaders.
Our parents from July through December give up any hope of having a normal life what with organizing team fundraisers, getting them to practice and games on time, helping with such overlooked duties as bringing water, oranges, working snack bar, clock keeper, holding down markers, cleaning up the game field, and many other vital behind the scenes duties.we all come together for one purpose, to supply the best for our kids, to show them that there is an alternative in life and to be involved with their children. CVYF is not only a place to signup and play the sport, it is a place where people meet and become life long friends. A place where there is a team effort. A place where working together makes our league strong. A place where the name Chula Vista Aztecs does not always come to mind as we grow, but is always remembered as one of those precious life experiences that is looked back upon time and time again.
